In a faraway kingdom, Tsar Vyslav Andronovich lived with his three sons. The eldest was called Dmitri, the second Vasily, and the youngest Ivan. Behind the palace lay a garden unlike any other for miles around. Trees bore sweet fruit, flowers filled the air with their scent, and tall linden trees offered cool shade. But the tsar's favorite was an apple tree.
